Overview

MODELA Adebayo Adegbe, popularly known as the ‘King of African Haute Couture’, is a multi-talented figure in the Fashion and Modeling industry. A graduate of Lagos State University, he is a model, instructor, scout, agent, makeup artist, choreographer, producer, and internationally renowned fashion designer.

Achievements

His designs have been showcased by MBGN at Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Tourism World, Miss Grand International, Mr. Nigeria, and more. He has trained in Nobel Training Institute, Fawaz Training Institute, and ITPAN Training Institute.

Awards

• Nigeria’s Best Designer of the Year (2004)
• FIMA – Africa Designer of the Year (2005, 2nd prize + internship in Paris)
• Over 60 awards by 2022

Exhibitions

He has exhibited in Paris, South Africa, Pakistan, USA, and across Africa. Since 2014, he has been Creative Director for Delta State Carnival and since 2015 for Calabar Carnival’s Seagul Band.
